For the second year running, my parents and I took a side trip from our late-summer stay in Cannes. We spent two glorious days in Provence, discovering Roman ruins and Van Gogh's inspiration in Arles and Saint-Rémy and visiting picture-postcard Provençal villages like Les Baux, Gordes and Roussillon.
Last year, I stayed in some incredible hotels: The Fortress Resort & Spa near Galle in Sri Lanka was particularly dreamy. As I plan my travels for 2025, I've been reminiscing about some of the other beautiful places I've stayed in over the years.
